Export
“Subdued demand from abroad”
Motor caravan & Caravan exports 2025/2026
Caravan exports
- Following the sharp correction in the previous year, caravan
exports stabilise at around 16,000 units, but record another
decline - Compared to the peak of the coronavirus pandemic in
2022, export volumes almost halve, reflecting the Europe-
wide decline in registrations in the caravan segment - France and the Netherlands together account for just under
60 per cent and are supporting German caravan exports
despite only moderate declines - Italy and Spain are showing significant percentage growth,
but remain a small contribution to export volume in absolute
terms - Turkey, recently a dynamic growth market, is once again
losing ground significantly and is at around half its previous
level
Motor caravan exports
- Despite the decline, the export volume remains historically
strong at around 30,000 units; the export ratio is up on the
previous year - The decline is mainly attributable to France: exports to this
country have fallen by almost half, around 3,000 units less - Different stock and order cycles among European dealers
are leading to a mixed picture in the export markets - The UK, Switzerland and the Netherlands are having a
particularly stabilising effect, cushioning the decline in
export volume - Poland, Sweden and Belgium are providing rays of hope
with double-digit growth - In contrast, most other export markets are experiencing
declines
