Overview Press Work

The CIVD is a competent partner for representatives of all media genres and fields concerning all questions related to the caravanning industry.

The Public Relations Department provides media representatives with all relevant information and news from the industry as well as current figures, data and facts. As the mouthpiece of the industry, the CIVD also articulates the interests and concerns of the caravanning industry to the press and the public. A goal of the press work is it to produce a broad and qualitatively high-quality reporting.
Newsroom and media centre

In the CIVD newsroom, journalists have access to current press releases in German and English as well as an extensive media centre with press photos, information graphics and fact sheets. Journalists can also register for the CIVD press mailing list to receive the latest news. Interested parties will also find an overview of all industry-relevant press dates in the newsroom. In addition, civd.de provides information to trade visitors and other interested parties on the topics of technology and environment, tourism as well as national and international caravanning trade fairs.

Press Conferences

Press conferences are an important instrument in the association’s public relations work. The annual highlight is the CARAVAN SALON at the end of August each year, the world’s largest trade fair for leisure vehicles. Together with Messe Düsseldorf, the CIVD organises the opening press conference as well as a pre-press conference in advance. The press conferences provide journalists with important information on the industry, vehicle trends and other relevant topics.

Another important date is the CIVD annual press conference, which takes place at the beginning of each year as part of the CMT in Stuttgart. Here the association takes stock of the past year and gives an outlook on the new year. For its press conference, the CIVD regularly wins renowned guest speakers who speak on various topics of relevance to the industry and also look beyond their own horizons.

Information Media

The CIVD publishes numerous information media for press representatives. In particular the annual report is to be mentioned here, which represents the world-wide situation of the caravanning industry as standard work for statistics, surveys, evaluations and prognoses comprehensively and in detail.

Press Trips

In addition to providing information, the aim of the CIVD is to make caravanning a tangible experience for journalists. To this end, the Press and Public Relations Department organises caravanning trips for representatives of the trade and daily press.
