Production

Different trends in the production of motorhomes and caravans

Production results remain at a high level, supported by a comparatively stable first half of the year.

  • After the production peak in 2022 due to a lack of motorcaravan chassis, a demand-based adjustment was made in 2023, which will continue in 2024
  • Manufacturers continue to respond to the Europe-wide decline in caravan registrations and dealer stocks
  • Production continues to fall to around 33,900 units in 2024
  • Despite the decline, average prices per unit and ex works rise to over € 23,400 net; however, the billion-euro sales mark cannot be maintained
