International CARAVAN SALON 2019

The CARAVAN SALON has come to an end with top results.

In 2019 more people visited the CARAVAN SALON than ever before. Over 268,000 visitors are already the fifth record result in a row.
This is a remarkable development in view of the general decrease in interest in consumer fairs. First-time visitors to the CARAVAN SALON, on the other hand, account for more than a third of the visitors, among them younger people. This shows that caravanning always inspires new target groups. More than half of all visitors travel over 100 kilometres to see the latest generation of recreational vehicles from all renowned international motorhome and caravan manufacturers.

The visit should be worthwhile, as the leading caravaning trade fair had more than 214,000 square metres to offer with numerous world firsts and innovations. The networking of vehicle components, comfortable and individualised equipment options, state-of-the-art design concepts and revolutionary lightweight construction are just a few of the many trends in motorhomes and caravans. In addition to 2,100 leisure vehicles, more than 600 national and international exhibitors presented accessories, technical equipment, add-on parts, awnings, mobile homes, camping and motorhome pitches as well as attractive travel destinations in 13 halls and on the open-air grounds. The companies were very satisfied and reported excellent sales figures.

The equally informative and entertaining supporting programme also contributes to the success every year and makes a visit to the CARAVAN SALON an experience for the whole family. In the neutral and manufacturer-independent “StarterWelt”, newcomers can obtain comprehensive information about the holiday form of caravanning and even experienced caravanners will receive insider tips from experienced consultants. The dream route cinema takes the spectators with on breath-robbing journeys to unusual Destinationen. The classic car exhibition lets nostalgic visitors indulge in memories and makes the development of the caravaning industry tangible over the decades. Visitors can try out electric bicycles on the e-bike course and a motorhome is waiting for a lucky winner at the North Entrance of the Caravaning competition.
