Standardisation

The CIVD participates in all national, European and international standards committees relevant to the recreational vehicle industry, such as DIN, CEN, CENELEC and ISO.

In addition to international standards, national standards (i.e. those valid in only one member state) are in rare cases also relevant to the recreational vehicle industry. As long as these national regulations are based on legislation that is applicable across the EU, the CIVD is of the view that there is no danger of member states erecting trade barriers to provide their own markets with effective protection from imports.
